Power City Bruins Youth Hockey Association

This program  is for children born in 2015 or 2016 and is designed to prepare your son or daugther to play at the next level of hockey: Squirts!  The following information is required to register for this program:

• Full hockey equipment is required: helmet, gloves, pads (chest, elbow, shin), hockey shorts, skates and a stick.
• All ice will be led by a USA hockey instructor and each session will take place at Hyde Park Ice Arena.  On Ice instruction will include Big Bear Hockey development, Jason Hill - Hills Hockey Development, and Power City Bruins coaching staff.
• The USA ADM hockey program will be modified and used
• All participants are required to register with USA hockey every year at www.usashockey.com prior to registration. For players 8u and older there is a $43 annual fee.  You will need your child's USA hockey number for registration.
• For participants who are new to the Power City Bruins program, you will need a copy of your son or daughter's birth certificate submitted when attending.
• Team based drills will be used to understand the concept of full-ice hockey in practice sessions
• Players will be divided into teams and will play full-ice games.  We will have an opportunity to play full-ice games against Canadian teams as well as local Western NY teams
• Each player will receive a jersey and matching socks
• 56 hours of on ice instruction (on average ice time is 3 times per week)
• All ice times are included in the total cost of $495 per player
